Hey there! If you’ve been following AHTRAVELSNYC for a while, you know I’m all about finding you the best deals, the most luxurious suites, and the safest ways to see the world. But today, I wanted to pull back the curtain a little bit. Usually, I’m focused on your itinerary, but I think it’s time we got properly acquainted.
I’m Ayesha, the face and the heart behind this agency. I’m a travel agent, a mom, a proud Scorpio, and a bit of a picky eater (don't judge!). I believe that to trust someone with your precious vacation time, you should know what makes them tick. So, let’s get into it: my life, my loves, and why I do what I do.
Family Is My "Everything"
If you ask me who I am, the first thing I’ll tell you isn't that I’m a travel expert: it’s that I’m a mother. I have three kids of my own, and let me tell you, they are my entire world. I live and breathe for them. Everything I build here at AHTRAVELSNYC, every late-night session searching for the perfect flight, and every goal I set is for them.
I’m a firm believer that vacations are the ultimate "family glue." In our busy everyday lives, it’s so easy to get caught up in the grind: school, work, chores, repeat. But when you get on that plane or step onto that cruise ship, the noise fades away. You’re forced to actually be with each other, and that’s where the magic happens.
My own family has made some of our best memories at the "Happiest Place on Earth." We’ve done Disney World and Disneyland more times than I can count. From the futuristic vibes of Epcot to the pure nostalgia of Magic Kingdom, I’ve seen it all. We’ve explored Sea World, soaked up the sun in the Bahamas and Bermuda, and taken in the natural beauty of Canada. Seeing the world through my children’s eyes is the greatest gift travel has ever given me.

The "Picky Foodie" Chronicles
Now, let’s talk about my favorite subject: Food.
I call myself a "big foodie," but I’ll be the first to admit I’m a complete paradox when it comes to eating. I love to travel just to eat, but I have a very specific set of rules. When I’m traveling, I almost exclusively want seafood. But here’s the kicker: I’m actually quite picky about it!
Let’s set the record straight:
- The "Yes" List: Fish, scallops, crab legs, and shrimp. Give me a plate of perfectly seasoned crab legs and I am a happy woman.
- The "Absolutely Not" List: Clams, mussels, squid, and octopus. Anything slimy or "tentacle-y" is a hard pass for me.
- The Controversial One: Lobster. I know, I know… everyone loves lobster. But for me? Yuck. I just can't do it!
Despite my seafood hang-ups, I have a deep love for bold, cultural flavors. If you’re wondering what my "Death Row Meal" would be, it’s a toss-up between a few different cuisines. My absolute favorite is Spanish food: the spices, the rice, the heartiness of it all. Close behind that is Jamaican food (there’s nothing like real jerk seasoning), followed by Haitian, Mexican, and finally, a classic Italian meal.

And if I'm not eating seafood or a plate of Arroz con Pollo? You’ll probably find me hovering over a plate of perfectly cooked lamb chops. That is my true weakness!
Movies, Music, and My Scorpio Soul
When I’m not booking trips or hanging with my kids, I’m a woman of many interests. I love movies: there’s something so relaxing about getting lost in a good story. I’m also big on music. I love to sing (even if it’s just for myself!) and I love to dance.
Don't get me wrong, I love a good party. I’ve got that NYC energy and I love to get out and have a good time, but I’m not "crazy" with it. I like a vibe that’s fun but sophisticated. It’s all about the atmosphere and the people you’re with.
As a Scorpio, I definitely feel things deeply. I’m very big on spirituality and the energy we put out into the universe. I truly believe that if you treat the earth right, you will be blessed in return. My philosophy is simple: Stay kind. Love hard. Give back.
One of my biggest dreams: even bigger than growing this business: is to reach a point where I have the financial freedom to start another organization dedicated to giving back. I want to leave this world better than I found it, and helping people is the core of who I am.

My Journey with AHTRAVELSNYC
Believe it or not, I haven’t even hit my one-year anniversary as a professional Travel Agent yet! It’s been a whirlwind of a year, and I’ve learned so much in such a short amount of time. Starting this business was about more than just booking hotels; it was about pursuing my own goal to see the world.
I want to experience the beauty and the calm that this planet has to offer. I want to immerse myself in other ways of life: to see how other cultures live, eat, and make music. To me, travel isn't just about a luxury hotel room (though I do love a luxury suite!); it’s about the atmosphere of a new city and the way it changes your perspective.
When you book with me at AHTRAVELSNYC, you’re not getting a nameless, faceless corporation. You’re getting me. You’re getting my "boss energy," my attention to detail, and my personal promise to treat your vacation as if it were my own family’s trip. I know what it’s like to be picky. I know what it’s like to want everything to be perfect for your kids. I get it because I live it.
Let’s Make Your Story Unforgettable
Whether you’re looking for a tropical paradise where you can eat all the shrimp and crab legs your heart desires, or a magical trip to Disney that your kids will remember forever, I’m here to make it happen.
I’m still on my own journey of discovery, and I would love for you to be a part of it. We’re going to see the world together: one beautiful, calm, and delicious destination at a time.
